I know that I still have about 4 months until the babe arrives, but I really want to start getting her room put together. I think I have finally settled on doing black furniture and black and white bedding. Now I have to decide what pattern to use...damask, toile, etc.? Too many choices! Here are some of the ones I thought were cute, what do you think? I need your opinions please:) Also, around how much should furniture and bedding cost? I'm completely clueless!
1. Black, white and light pink damask with polka dots
2. Black and cream toile
3. Black, white and light pink damask
Below are the only 2 things I have for her room so far: I want to incorporate a few bird cages in the room so I got this cute thing the other day (thanks Meg!), and below is a frame that I'll probably end up putting the first letter of her name in. Your comments are truly appreciated! (I have no idea what I'm doing:))

I absolutely love it all!! I love the idea of incorporating the pink with the black and white. The black and white could be incorporated with a beige or a light blue too if you have a boy someday. I love finding deals! I wouldn't pay a lot for furniture, that's just me though. As long as it serves its purpose, I think refurbishing something is way more fun (especially some projects to do while waiting). I love the birdcage and frame! I need to hit up ikea when i'm in UT or CA next. For the dresser I would buy a medium heigth one that you can place a changing table pad on so when she gets older she can use it as just a dresser. I think the simpler the better. But, you're giving me some great new ideas too! I can't wait to see pics. Sorry, that was a lot!!
I LOVE it ALL Jess! SO FUN!!!! I really do love the black white and pink combo with damask looking fabric. It is totally up my alley so I of course love it:) My crib was on the more costly side and it was around $575 and we got are dresser at a Jcpenny outlet for $125. it usually goes for $775. So we saved some money there. I had Pierces bedding made but just the fabric cost me around $125. I think you can buy pretty good bedding in stores for around $300. but then again I do have a more expensive taste so you can definitely find them cheaper and also way more expensive:) I am so excited for you guys and try to enjoy it what ever you guys do I know it will turn out adorable:) good luck! Oh, also we didn't buy a changing table since we thought he would only use it for a few months and also my mom had one and we never used it will the little bros and sis since it was easier to just lay down on blanket and change them in what ever room you were in. It was also nice not having to worry about if they were going to roll off when they hit around 4 or 5 months:)
P.s. I wrote this really fast so i know the spelling is way off and that this post may not even make sense:)
ooooooooo. i love them all, but i think my fav is the first one! i'm obsessed with both damsk and toille, so i'm sure whatever you come up with for this baby girl will be fab!
jess they are all sooo cute! I have been wanting to comment on this post for about a week but every time I went to do it my internet connection disconnected (u experienced my lame internet yesterday). But the good news is that we got our own internet yesterday!!! no more problems:)
Well i love them all, but I do like the third one. I'm into more simple stuff and this one looks the cleanest to me. But you could definitely use the bird cages and the cute mirror from ikea (every time I go to ikea I see that mirror and can never find an excuse to buy it, I'm glad you're using it!!!)
I do love all that is going on in the first one, because I love polka dots. You can't go wrong, you have such good taste!!! good luck!
I think I like the first one the best- but the third one is really cute too! How fun! Really cute stuff!
Hi Guys! This was always one of my favorite parts of having a baby. I gotta go with # one it is just too cute! I love the black and white with the pink and of course I love polka dots. My experience is buy the furniture you love or you will never be happy with it. I'm so excited for you guys! Have fun!
