Harlow- Month 2

We can't believe that our sweet baby has been with us for 2 months already! Time is seriously flying by! We can already see a personality in her and can tell that she is going to be quite the drama queen:) She rarely cries, most of the time, it's just a fake cry and she immediately stops when you pick her up or give her attention. We can't imagine our lives without this little doll and love spending every moment with her. We love you Harlow babe!

love her!!!

Harlow has been smiling like crazy lately and I melt every time she does. Each time she makes eye contact with me, I die, because she immediately smiles. She is such a doll and I am so happy that I get to spend every day with her!

My friend Heather was nice enough to take time out of her busy professional photog career to take us out to the desert and shoot some more Herbert family photos. We love them! Thanks Heather, you're the best!

I can't believe that Harlow has been with us for over a month already! I feel like my little newborn is growing up so fast! We have had so much fun with our new addition and can't imagine our life without her. We feel so blessed to be her parents and are so excited to be able to experience life through her eyes. We love you Harlow!!! Happy One Month!

photo shoot 2009...

We went to Tucson this last weekend and tortured poor little Harlow Sue. Sammie, Eric's little sister took AWESOME pics of the babe for a church project and I must say, she is quite the professional. Here are some from our 2 day shoot. Love them!!!

Dear Harlow,
We can't stop staring at you! You are such a sweet baby, it's almost impossible for us to ever lay you down...ever. We would be able to get a lot more done if we would stop holding you all day long, but figure you won't let us do it when you're 17, so we're getting as many cuddles as we possibly can from you while we still can. Hope you don't mind. Love you too much!
Love, M&D

*sorry for the poor quality of pics, they were all taken from my phone:)

Daddy's little girl...

The moment we had Harlow, she has been the center of our universe. We have never been so obsessed with anyone or anything in our entire lives. Right when the nurse put her on my chest, I glanced up at Eric and saw the sweetest look on his face, and at that moment, I fell in love with him all over again. I can already see a bond between the two of them and I am so eager to be able to watch it increase over the years. I love these two more than anything and I am so happy to have them in my life.

Harlow's Birth...

Harlow was due Sept. 25th, but we decided to induce so we could make sure that everyone would be able to be there. I went to the dr. on Monday the 21st to talk about inducing, and they said the hospital could do it the next day at 7:30 am! What a surprise! That was fast:) My parents and little sister drove over from California that night and Eric's parents and his little sister came up from Tucson. We were so excited and I was more than ready to get her out of me!

Eric and I on our way to the hospital! So excited!!!

This is how I was with contractions before I got the epidural (it even made me throw up every time the contraction would come)...

and this was me after that heavenly drug was stuck in my back...

The entire gang that was able to be in the room when Harlow came (Rod was there too, he took the picture)...

Sammie and Julie decided to bring the pam, just in case we needed to spray a little right before the baby came out:)...

I was so glad that everyone was able to be in the room during birth. After the epidural, I have to say that giving birth isn't too bad at all! I actually really enjoyed the experience and was able to keep a good attitude and stay calm the entire time. Now, if I wasn't able to get an epidural...I know that things would've been a lot different:)

Introducing...Harlow Sue Herbert

Harlow was born on September 22nd at 7:34 pm. Our little chunker weighed in at 8 lbs. 15 oz., is 21 1/2 inches long and is as beautiful as ever. I will post more about the actual birth later, but here is a teaser of what our blog will be dedicated to now...this little gem. We LOVE her and cannot stop staring at her. She is our new obsession.

tucson baby shower...

We were lucky enough to have a 2nd baby shower in Tucson a few weeks ago that was put together by Eric's sisters, with the help from his mom, aunts and grandma. I was definitely happy to find out early on in our relationship that Eric's fam LOVES themes as much, if not more than I do:) They decided to do a "birdcage" theme with the colors that I am going to decorate the baby's room in. Now let me tell you, these pics don't do the shower justice. EVERYTHING went along with the theme. Thanks for such a fun shower you guys!

The table settings...these cages are going in Harlow's room:)

The adorable banner that Meghan made, as you can see, even the presents matched the color theme.

The cute diaper cake that Meghan made...

Opening the cute letter that aunt Debbie got...

Eric and I with the sisters, thanks for a fun weekend girls!

baby bump... almost there!!!

37 weeks, only a few more to go! This little girl is starting to make me so uncomfortable, I swear she loves to target my ribs when she moves around and I don't think my tummy can stretch out any more :) We are soooo excited for her arrival and can't wait to meet our adorable baby Harlow!!!

Cali baby shower...

My cute mom, sisters and my good friend Court got together to throw me an adorable baby shower last month. They decorated in the same colors as the baby's room is going to be. I am so mad, my camera battery died right as the shower started so I didn't get very many pics:( Here are the few that were taken-
Jess and Jess...

The cute decor...

Jenn and Court very intently trying to figure out how big my belly is when we played the first game where everyone tries to cut a piece of string to the size on my belly. Most people guessed that I was way bigger than I really am...haha! But grandma Joyce took home the win with an almost exact guess! Way to go Joyce!

i am a horrible blogger...

I have been slacking in the picture department lately, even though we have really been keeping busy. We're heading to Cali next weekend for my baby shower so hopefully I'll come back with a ton of new pics, but until then, these will have to do:)

Natalie's baby shower was last weekend...her, me and Dani are all due a month apart. I can't wait for family parties after these babes are born, it'll will be so fun! (Yes I am crouching down because I am about a foot taller than these cute girls)

Eric found a cd with OLD pics from before his mission and these two made me smile...

Sammie, Eric's little sis spent the night last week and her and I spent way too long going through photo booth and laughing our heads off. The best ones are of my little sis, Julie, but those deserve their own post. (See below)

julie and her love affair with photo booth...

Sammie is almost as obsessed as I am with Julie, so we spent all night crying over how hysterical my cute little sis is:)

throwing up deuces, she's pretty thug for a 13 year old...

baby teeth...

she even brings props to some photo shoots...

this one is one of my favs, she seriously looks like a cartoon...

Julie is constantly making me laugh and I love her to death for her awesome personality. If you're ever feeling down, just let me know and I can send a "Julie photo booth" pic your way and I guarantee that it will brighten up your day immediately.
